My 72 Fury Wagon has a sticker inside the door Jamb that says it originally ran an L84-15 tire. What does that equal in a Radial. Ive looked and read that it crosses over to a P235/80/15.

Never heard of such an animal, would a 235/75/15 be about the same, seems like it to me.

The old bias ply tires were very tall by today's radial standards. It is often difficult to find a newer radial tire that has as tall a sidwall as the old tires had.
Here is how your 235/80 compares to the 235/75; the 235 is the tire width in mm. The 75 or 80 is the sidewall heigth which is a percentage of the tire width.
So, the 80 means that the sidewall is 80% of 235 or 188mm tall. The 75 is 75% of 235 or 176mm. The 235/75 tire will have about 12mm shorter sidewall than the 235/80 tire.
Now, I have found that although based on actual measurements like 235mm and 80%, some tires vary in size from one brand to another just as much as the old F78s and G60s did.
Good luck, I hope this helps.

Master, again and still

I don't recall a L84-15? L78-15 was common and would cross to the P235/75R15

Here's an unused spare on EBAY, now you need to find 3 more.

If you know the number of teeth in the speedometer pinion and in your axle gears, you can calculate the correct size tire that would keep your odometer (and likely speedometer) accurate.
