So, this is in no way a dig on firm feel, I just need to figure out if it's a possibility. I have a firm feel box, stage II I put in my Challenger 6 years ago, when I first rebuilt the front end. a rebuild consisted of all new ball joints, new bushings(polyurethane), R/T torsion bars, new tie rods, idler arm and pitman arm, as well as the firm feel box.

I had never been happy with how it drove, figured it was how I had the wheel bearings and drum brakes adjusted.

Well, I just put new MOOG LCA bushings in, 1.00 inch FFI torsion bars, a factory 7/8 front bar, boxed control arms, FFI 11/16ths tie rods, new idler arm, disk brakes, manual master cylinder, wheels bearings, whole speal...

Anyway, the symptom I hated most is still there, the car turns to the right much easier then it turns left this is from the center. It doesn't make any noise, it just is hard to turn left when the wheels are centered. Everything is basically new and replaced, except the steering box and it still has that symptom.

Could it be the box? Should I call firm feel? I don't want to embarrass myself over something stupid...

Anyhow, other then that, the car handles great and stops straight!

you might call them & explain what your symptoms are & see what their thoughts are. You are a paying customer & are certainly entitled to ask a few pertinent Q's and even a few that might not be pertinent(it's all in the delivery) & in the meantime you might jack the front kmember in the center up off the ground w a floor jack & with it idling see if(with it up in the air)that there's a diff now in the R and L turning effort.

If when building the box the assebler used one reaction spring that was heavier than the other it would have a different assist level.... Yeah it's possible.. It shouldn't happen but they build allot of boxes & stuff sometimes happens...

I didn't see no mention of a "professional" wheel alignment?,......has the front end been aligned?....are the componets, like the spindles the same "profile", left to right?

I've been in Boise for work and just found the motel computer.

Anyhow, I called them tuesday morning, talked to Dennis, he was helpful as he always is, Anyhow, he said there is a valve I can adjust and he explained to me how to do it.

I'm 500 miles away from my car, so I'll let you know how it works out when I get home.

And yes, it was aligned...
