I ran accross a good deal on some 72-74 Challenger fenders (repops) from a place called jim's auto parts. Problem is, they can't tell me who makes them. I obviously don't want a part that's not going to fit right - anybody here every deal with these guys or know anything about them? Anyone know who makes their body panels? Any help/input is appreciated.
Also, if these don't end up working out, where's the best/cheapest place to pick some up?

AMD is making the best repop parts for Mopars with the best fit. I don't think the Challenger one's are available yet but should be pretty soon. I would wait for those.
Regarding Jim's I have never bought anything from them and never will.

So, this "Jim's" place doesn't have the best reputation huh? The price was catchy ($399 each), but I definitely don't want to buy crap parts. I talked to a vendor at the Nats this weekend who said he would give up the AMD's for $575 each...not too bad if they're the quality he says they are. The guy said he used to deal Goodmark, but now likes AMD's pieces much better - maybe it's worth the extra $
Thanks again to everyone for the input.

Quote:
Try roseville dodge for fenders and fair shipping prices, Jims' usually will not quote the shipping and then ding ya with a high shipping cost.
Tom
The last stuff I got from Roseville and shipping was cheap as well as a good price. They also sell on ebay but lost the store page. If you buy from Jims and get something thats damaged, does not fit right ect. The nice lady there will when ya call and have you She's not nice Roseville,R/T Specialties Tom, Bill At A&M, Dante, As well as many others are memebers here are listed in the memebers in biz section. Steffon also has a sale right now

If you like atrocious customer service, "bait and switch" price policies, and exorbitant shipping costs, go right ahead and order from the Wicked Witch & Company at Jim's - otherwise, stay far, far away and order from a reputable dealer/distributor like rosevillemoparts, Dante's, etc. Of course, the self-appointed Moparts "whiner police" may not agree with the above statement; however, if a poll were taken, you'll find an overwhelming majority of Moparts members avoid Jim's like the plague... Jim's is bad news. years ago I drove all the way up there and there were holes in the hood he tried to sell me that he never told me about. Bait and switch city. Stay away.
