NTPA held a event in Newport NC this week end, Good turn out, not enough parking or seats, lots of tractors and pulling trucks, one mopar mod truck out of West VA won , He was the only mopar out of the whole show except for the blown hemis, lots of chebbies & fords, cool show all in all for the first time in Newport, they had said they were not expecting that big a turnout & next year they will be better prepared

Not many mopars here in Canada either. Hope Diablo gets his new engine out soon to represent. Lots of diesel dodge prostreet pullers though. They are awesome because they just drive them to the pull.

Was the truck green/yellow called "to the X-treme"???? real low? Dakota body i think.

If its him he does real well everywhere he goes.... to bad its a bowtie under the hood

We've run 636ci b1-TS engine at one pull found out a small problem. Were taking it out. gonna put it on the dyno get the injection system working right and be ready for the 21st. Had to put a new trans in it too.

Hopefully we can keep up on the power tracks now

It had the same body as yours but could have been the truck you are talking about, they announced it as a mopar, all I know is he turned the piss out of it , sounded like a 500" pro motor

is it the dodge truck that was in the first few pics?

http://www.truckpullingunleashed.com/id33.html

There are alot of dodge trucks on the big circuit that use bowtie engines. Dixie chopper is another one of them.

There are two dodge trucks called Dodge N Bullets. They both run 650ci with the 500ci prostock hemi stuff

Ya i had a modded 727 built by fireball trans in ontario and a special torque made.

I dont see having a problem but maybe. it seems with running LOW LOW gears in the differentials (688), running the trans in 3rd, not shifting and keping the rev's down (7000-7500) everything stays together just fine

I didn't realize you could get enough gear to run high gear in the transmission. As asked above I would assume you must also have some reduction in the transfer case?

We run a reduction in the transfer case through a Pro Fab or quick change transfer case. With this stype transfer case we can change our gear ration anywhere between 17 to 1 up to 33 to one with a 5 min swap of gears.

With the new engine it seems that we will be able to pull 21 to one on good tracks and 18-17 to one on softer ones
