Any advantage or disadvantage to painting aluminum heads???

I can see painting to try to preserve some stock look.

But on a race motor does paint hurt?

Thanks

I like painting everything. Just makes everything easier to keep clean...

Doesn't hurt a thing. My all aluminum hemi is painted to look like it's all iron (orange block and heads) w/ wrinkle black valve covers. Only the intake is bare aluminum. CHIP

I paint all my aluminum engine parts with the high heat aluminum paint and then put the high heat clear paint on afterwards. When you have a oil-antifreeze leak or what ever, it seems to wipe off better.

Cast Iron Gray.

Car and engine bay are silver.
