Hello all. I happened to find your forum after doing so searching on the net to get other people's opinions of how this has all unfolded. Great site you have here.

Anyway, I just wanted to post a link of a rebroadcast while the car was being unearthed for those of you that had trouble with the live feeds.

http://www.kotv.com/e-clips/?id=6748

Enjoy!

Well written Hans. If I had the time, I'd be out there. I'm glad however, that through modern technology, I can enjoy the event too.

Not to be a nattering nabob of negativism - but:

I'm calling it right now that KOTV's servers don't have the bandwidth for a live stream that would support an unexpectedly large number of simultaneous connections....

There must be a huge amount of people trying to get at it. It's taking forever to load and I'm on a super fast connection.

Link leads to the website, and probably worked just fine until about a second after he posted it and everyone here clicked it.

As mentioned above, the site is slammed at the moment. Give it time, it will work eventually. If you want to skip the site, here is a URL to open with Windows Media Player.

I think that they (BC) will have time to work on the engine to get it to "turnover" and start.

He has already made the comment twice that he is there to get it running.

My bet is that he and his crew will be working on the engine to get it running ONLY. Getting it to driving is a whole new animal.

I've read it and it's been posted here. Boyd is there to change out the fluids and get it running.

Concerning the reasons the brought Boyd to get the car running.

Why they would choose a guy who hacks up original cars into Hot Rods, as opposed to someone who is dedicated to RESTORING a classic car is beyond me. Any neat original restoration details that remain that the car may still provide other owners doing restorations will soon be destroyed once he starts tearing into the engine in any attempt to get it running....I can just see him tossing priceless original items over his shoulder like filters, belts, hoses, and other cool small parts. Even if it's soggy and rusty, the original details will show through.
