Looking for opinions, on which one of these textured argents I should use on my 70 Cuda Grill? I really don't want to hear that none are exactly correct. Which one is closest?

Thanks

I second the second one. Honorable mention for number 3. Don't like 1 or 4

I used Totally Auto's medium (or is it dark???) Argent on mine and its gorgeous.

This question will never be answered. The guy from all trim had a pallette @ Carlisle a few years back with numerous color chips on it. Which is correct???

I second that.

BTW, I love the signature pic of your red Cuda.

Thanks for the input.

Well, these are all spray bomb, and I am looking for the poor man's argent for my grill. I kind of like the 2nd one the best.

The colors are:
#1 Krylon Black Textured shimmer #2520
#2 Krylon graphite Textured shimmer #2521
#3 Krylon Silver Textured shimmer #2522
#4 Eastwoods Light Argent textured #12717 Z

I wish I had a sample of the Totally Auto paint to stick next to them to compare, but I have less invested in all of these, (I got the Eastwood paint free at the Nats last year) than the Totally Auto would charge for one can.

Hopefully this will help out some others by giving them a comparison on the different paints available.

This is the best pic I have of my un-restored grill. I'd go with #2 ( second from the left)

I've heard the Krylon colors are an exact match with the Totally Auto colors.....

Where did you get the Krylon paint? All of the stores I've gone to that carry Krylon don't have the graphite.

The local "Good" home town hardware store, it's a TrueValue chain, had all three colors. You can order it online at www.doitbest.com and have it shipped to a local store.

KudaKidd - It looks like #2 would be a good match.

Thanks.

Are these rattle cans or actual A/B mix in pints and quarts that require an HVLP. I need to repaint my 69 Grill and really like the the far right swatch

The one on the far right is the closest match to the rear finish panel of my 68 ply gtx. I have seen a lot of them refinished with the darker argent color and they are not correct. Mine is an untouched factory original piece so I know it is correct.
