Hey Everyone,
Well I have finally picked up my dream car in February and started work on it. I purchased it for $1,000 dollars and am trying to do it on a low budget. I scored a '64 Dart last year with a 360, 8-3/4 3.91sg that I used as the donor, along with a 4-spd. For now the car has a Reverse Manual Valve Body 904. I converted the car over to BBP and rebuilt all the suspension. Its originally a /6 car so I have no rules, although when done it will look similar to a 340 "clone" style duster. I will be doing many more updates on here in the near future. I was originally hoping to have the car together in 2 months, but one thing leads to another and now its July! Let me know what you think.

Some pics of when I got it, and then eventually up to current date.

Here it is after some cleaning and the lack of slanty.

After much more grinding and sanding and grinding...

Bear with me as it will take a while to get up to date with this. I was just hoping by posting my progress I might receive some encouraging words.

- Jon

hi
Looks great, Jon. I'm doing something similar with my Demon - 5.9L Magnum though. I wish I had the funds to do it all in one sitting like you, but I don't.

haha, its long gone sorry. Sold it for $400 minus motor/tranny and it had NO rust.

Sorry for the delay on the progress - I have to upload the pics to photobucket, and have been so busy I have not had the time to do it. I guess you can sum it up and say I'm lazy.

Looks good so far Jon. I'm a little confused, is your dad doing a Duster also? For some reason I thought that there was one car you both were building.

Joe,
My dad and I are doing the '72 340 Demon together, but since I bought this car the demon has been on hold.

Here is some more:

From primer to....

and then some 30% flattener clear

Some Parts...

When Uncle Bob showed up from NY, I put him to work.

Replacing the Rear Main

Steve,
When I received the car all of the above was gone besides the t-bars. Had I known the history, I may not have sold the car; too many projects.

I haven't updated this in forever since I am taking 21 units at school this semester and am lazy to boot. Here is what we did tonight.

1+1 =

Mopar_Ron laying on the first coat

I am kinda sad though, it almost resembles the Haze. Oh well, at least mine runs.

Sorry, no full body pics, yet. I will have some this week though.

And for all those wondering, yes, it is just primer. I am just sick of the standard 'buff' or 'gray'. It has actually turned out semi-gloss or suede though...

I am just glad to see one color. Its been a long time in the making.

I knew that was coming. I have never not worn one, but I forgot it at home and just wanted it sprayed. Ron doesn't use a respirator outside , but there was a nice breeze coming through so it wasn't intoxicating.

Is that the dart that had the SBP slotted mags on the front? I know a 69 dart that would look really nice with them on there
Still got them?

I still have 'em. They are BBP, though.
