Got my dash pads off to redye them, installed the restored cluster. I've restored the switch panel and install new chrome knobs on all the switches. My question is what do you guys think is the best way to reinstall the switch panel? I've done it before with the switches bolted to panel and it was a pain. Looking at rear of dash doesn't look like fun to install the switches after panel is in. Any sugestions?

When the dashes were built, they were out of the car, and installed as an assembled unit. Reassembly can be done with the panel in the car, but it isn't easy; in particular the dimmer is nearly impossible to get through the pad and the hole in the dash.
I've done it a few times, installing the dimmer from behind, masking the pad and leaving everything loose for wiggle room.

Drop the column, reach behind and loosen the pad nuts. The opening will open up so the switch panel can be installed.
