I am running 275 60 15 BFG dot drag radials and have a best 60' of 1.68 leaving at part throttle.(72 barracuda, 496", 5600 stall) Layed off from work so have to use these for now. Has any one tried any dirt track racers tricks like soaking in WD-40 or other solvents with any success? Tires don't work good now so nothing to lose. Any suggestions for what to use to help these tires?

i have a set of bfg's on now (they were free), and i found they won't hook without a colossal first burn out. and lower your pressure. mine are 315/50/15s, and after that first burnout, they hook very nicely. just a couple of seconds will do after that. sometimes they'll spin on the first run, and then they're fine the rest of the day. i'm running about 15 psi.

for what is the good life if not doing things thoughtfully?
