Kinda what I figured. Love those hemi darts and barracudas Well I am thinkin from what I have read, that I will probably go with getting a different case. JUST because not only do I have OCD, but I am also just afraid that I would have to repair it in the end. Now next subject...rebuilding....what is all entailed in this job?? I do not have any literature on rebuilding a 4 speed.

I'd swap cases and be done with it. If its not a 308 bearing register, now would be time to upgrade. stock is fine for your application imo.
It's probably not a good idea to change to a 308 bearing case these days since the only Chrysler specific 308 bearings available are made in China(junk). MRC/SKF no longer make this bearing.

I am making arrangements with Gus for a 307 small bearing case and maybe bearing retainer. Then might go with Wayne at Brewer's for a rebuild kit for her too. I should then have a good, strong, no worries transmission for my "little" 340 lol.
