Kinda of thinking about a new carb. Which is a better choice for a Street cars that does see some time on the strip?

like just about everything else in this hobby, "it depends", on what you're willing to put up with, how good you are at tuning, et cetera. if you're good at tuning, and you go conservative on carb size, double pumpers are fine. the better you are at tuning, the further you can deviate from typical recommendations. if you want minimal fuss, it's tough to beat a good vacuum secondary carb.

vac is better for the street in my experience.

my car had the same et with 2 750 vac sec as it does with 2 750 d.p.

also not all d.p. carbs have a 1:1 linkage for the secondaries so under light throttle conditions you only use the front pump untill you get a little more agressive
