When swapping from an 8 3/4 to a ford 9 inch what would be the difference in drive shaft length? Will be using the same springs as the 8 3/4.

I've also started researching this and thanks to Laverne, this is what I've found.
center line of axle to centerline of u-joint
8-3/4 = 12.35"
9" w/1350 joint = 11"
9" w/long yoke = 12-1/8"

There are lots of different pinion yolks out there and they all vary. You really need to get it together and see if the Driveshaft will fit.
