Try tracing the wires from the distributer to the ecu. You might have pinch or broken one. Are you using a 4 or 5 pin ecu?

I found the problem. The alternator was shorting out and when I tried to start the car it was robbing all the juice from everything else. thanks everybody for all of your help. I learned alot more about the wiring in these cars.
