I have a 73 challenger with the springs in the stock location and it sits a little higher than normal but not much, it has hemi springs. Right now I have 10" wheels with 4.5" back spacing and a 26x10.5 tire, It's close on the outside lip but it fits. Any way what is the largest tire/ wheel back spacing I can stuff in in there. I have an oppurtunity to get some 295/50/15's on 8" cragar s/s rims, but don't know if they'll fit. any ways thank you very much!

With the correct back-space wheel, you may be able to use a 295/50. With a 10" wheel, you will have better results by using a 5.5" back space wheel otherwise you will run into clearance problems with the wheel well outer lip.

Best thing is to measure your rearend and the inner and outer fender well. You will then know for sure what you have to work with.

295/50-15, 8" rim, 4.5" back space. 2" over springs.
