Coincidentally it's for a friends chevy crate motor, what's everyone using for break-in supplement now that GM's EOS is gone?

We have been using the Comp Cams break in lube. One bottle at every oil change

Hmm that's weird, I told him to ask for it at the dealer and they said they'd never heard of it. Guess they're just dumb GM guys .

that doesn't surprise me.. My local Chevy dealer counter guy gave me the blank stare... The "old guy" tech who overheard me sent me across the street to the Caddy/GMC dealer... He had it on the shelf (old stuff) bought him out at the time

Meant to answer your question too.. Check for valvoline Synpower oil treatment.. you're going to have a hard time finding good zinc content here in cal... it's not available because it will poison the cat converters

they changed the part # as mentioned above. The parts counter blank stare---thats normal. Im surprised they even spoke ENGLISH in the USA.

some great options are Comp cams additive or Hughes additive. Plenty of stuff out there .

My local Chevy dealer never could figure out what my brother was talking about. We've been using the Hughes Engines product.

I used Comps break in additive and Rottela oil to break mine in.

Just use the Brad Penn 30-break-in oil. Works for me.
