Well it's time to replace my 50 year old copper radiator. I'd like to install an aluminum radiator to save weight and cool the motor easier. I'm having trouble finding something that fits this Frankenstien. Most of the radiators I've looked at that will fit don't have a trans cooler. I'm running a REAL loose 8" TA converter, will an aftermarket aircooled trans cooler be enough? I do more street driving that strip, will it work 200 miles at a crack. I've been using a add on trans cooler along with the water cooled unit. Dave

You can get a dedicated trans cooler that has a fan/shroud. These work well.

If you know the dimensions of your old radiator you can pick one really cheap from Ebay.

I have gotten a few Nascar C&R take-offs that had engine coolers from there before for UNDER 200 dollars, these radiators cost over 750 dollars or more new.
