If I put some Hemi pistons in my 318 then what would be a nice tight clearance to shoot for? I don't want them sloppy loose in there, but don't want it freezing up either. This is a 4 inch stroker motor I am thinking of slapping together for

Oh yeah they are 5.7 hemi pistons and rods

the 5.7 piston has a weak crown. usually breaks ring lands off when it sees detonation. i would not use them.

Ok after some looking maybe it could work.. 5.7 "hemi" pistons don't look anything like real Hemi pistons... But FWIW the valve notches aren't even close to usable with an inline valve engine...

Real Hemi Piston...

Neither of those pistons look like the stock 5.7 piston. There is just a very gentle curved dome and no notches. The pistons would be far enough below deck to prevent a colission, I realize it will be a little bit of a low compression deal but I have rings bearings pistons rods a block crank, some magnum heads an XE268 cam 1.7 rockers M1 single plane intake, so I could throw a motor together real quick that could make a few hp plus the Hemi parts are very light weight so it should rev very easily.

Real Hemi Piston...

That picture of the 5.7 Hemi piston is definatly an aftermarket piston.
