What I mean is that if one or more digets is out of place (ex: higher or crooked) will it be the same on both the engine and tranny? *CHECK OUT MY NEW WEB SITE !*

Thus, to me, it sounds like that if one has a digit crooked, I'd think the 'operator' of the punch couldn't replicate the height/angle of the digit if he/she wanted to.

I know of a 71 car and the vin # looks different, seems closer and the top # are deeper then going to the bottom of the # it gets shallow. I think scott smitt is right!
