Ok, usually I post here about my '72 SSP, but this time I have a more pressing problem...

The front disks on my 2004 Strat have gone all warped, and the last time I had them turned, the guy said they couldn't be turned again. So now I'm looking to replace them...except I don't want to put stock rotors back on.

So I'm looking for suggestions (and reccommendations) for a set of better rotors to put on the front. Something which will take the place of the stock rotors, same size, and would be the only part changed, but be fundamentally better.

I've heard that slotted rotors brake faster and don't warp like solid rotors, is this true? Can anyone tell me where to find a set that'd work on my Strat? Is there a vendor who works with Moparts that someone can point me at?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

personally, I would go to oreily. They still carry lifetime rotors.

That way next year when they warp, take them back and replace them.
I did that with a nissan sentra. Rather than turn them, I replaced them every year or so.
