Fantastic Jeff, you got a real handle on the "human" side, and the car, well done...

What is this "traffic" you speak of?? Why are you parked on the road, this is all new to me.

This just in: (via John calling me on his cell) John, DG and Mark arrived in Vegas this morning (Friday the 6th) and they're preparing to take a nap. I guess they haven't gone to bed since yesterday as they were a bit pumped. I won't give too many more details because I know THEY will want to share. Pictures are coming soon (from their laptop) so all can enjoy!

Super cool pix by the way, Jeff! Awesome.

Dale

The Snowball Militia never made it here

And yes..that parking lot with street signs is just one of our amazing freeways...

All the cars did great on the drive home too even with sitting in a container for 4+ weeks now too.

Like I said, it was too bad we did not some more time here to do stuff, but guess Murphy's Law is always there waiting for you (forgot to say last night..as I was getting ready to go down and unload the cars yesterday morning, a u-joint went out in my truck..how is that for timing? Did a quickie job on it and was back in buisiness quick luckily!)

Sure is great everyone is enjoying following along on our (well, partly mine at least) little adventure here!

I think traffic for you is somehow related to Winter out here...something you hear about, but never actually see.. (UFO's, etc are the same sort of thing)

Hey y'all! First off, I have to thank everyone for all of the kind words! This entire trip so far has been nothing short of amazing! This truly is a once in a lifetime adventure and we are only too happy to share it with all of our friends here on Moparts, In reality, if it weren't for Moparts, the logistics and this trip and the purchase of the Daytona itself, would never have happened! A very special thanks goes out to OzHemi and his Australian partner Peter for handling all of the shipping. You guys are awesome!

As Peeler told ya, it's been a looooong night and we have lots of pics and stories! I'm the only one with enough adrenaline left to still be awake but as soon as DG is awake, she is gonna upload the pics to her pic hosting site and post them on this thread.

FuryIII, we are still trying like all heck to make Conway by Sunday but we are behind schedule a bit. The California Highway Patrol officers we talked to on one of our gas stops told us it was 118 degrees in the Mojave Desert yesterday and even at 2:00 AM last night, the temps were still near 90 degrees. The Daytona and the Falcon are running a bit warm but not losing their cool so we may just do some of our traveling at night.

We are staying at the Cannery Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas which was the host hotel for the Mopars At The Strip event a couple months ago. We will be leaving out of here later this afternoon. I am pretty sure DG will be posting pics before we leave here.

Thanks again to everyone and stay tuned!

Welp I just woke up and have time for a short update.

BTW.... it's real easy for John to have so much energy seeing as how he hasn't done any driving yet and had the libery to take some cat naps while I fought tooth and nail to not get us killed in the concrete jungle of LA and in the deserts of Nevada... remind me to slap him later okay? I'm an insomniac and have been up for days with only a few hours sleep in between.

Traffic in Cali is ummmm psycho but I made it through okay and in right wheel drive cars at that.

I most certainly have to get a right wheel drive Mopar now...... I'm left handed so I seemed to take to it very well and it's a lot of fun f00kin' with people out on the interstate. The Daytona is SCHWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET! The pictures just don't do it justice. I had a lot of fun driving the Chevy truck even though it's a Chevy

(Thank's Peter for trusting me with it during rush hour traffic in LA)

I have come to the conclusion that OzHemi is some sort of a wierdo but that's okay he was fun.

We have some interesting plans mapped out for today and I really should get back to sleep seeing as how I'll be driving again tonight. I get to take the Daytona out today which is kewl and I'm very excited about driving up to MGM grand in such a grand ride as the Daytona.

I'm posting some pictures here now and I have so very many but not enough time to post them all now. I also have my camera in which I forgot to bring my uploading software so those pictures will have to wait till I return to Indy. The weather is nice and warm here and if I weren't so tired I'd be out nursing this tan but alas, I must sleep.

Enjoy the pics and keep yourself buckled in as we continue our crazy road trip with you our beloved Moparts crew along as our passengers.

To quote Jerry Garcia: "What a long strange trip it's been."

Peace, DG
I may have to email somebody these pics because the image hosting site I'm using is making them appear grainy and blurry to me. They are actually very kewl crisp photos but alas, photoisland Sux0rs. If anyone wants to help please let me know. Thanks.

Just wait till I stand on it....

More to come.... I need sleep.

Cool pics DG. You must be tired or you checked the double print box. But I will speak for 99.99999999999999% of us in saying we could never get sick of looking at you and the cars.

Dude I am tired. I've only got like 2 hours sleep, plus photoisland is like acting all whacky and stuff because a lot of pics that I "thought" I put up there didn't show up. I got this really kewl one of two California Highway Patrol officers that we met last night who posed in a picture with the Daytona and me on the wing in the middle with them on each side of me. Way kewl. I'll get to that in a minute... Also there was this dumb ##(! that was driving us nuts at a gas stop who we took a pic of... and then theres like ummm well lossa other pics that I need to put up.

Peace, I'm trying to get back to sleep now.... I think.

You can sleep out in the sun. Just have somebody come out every half hour and turn you over with a big spatula!
