you have an electric choke so the pocket on the pass side will be left as is & nothing added to it. the dished item on dr side is an egr valve and in front the coolant activated valve w the 2 plastic nipples both will not be used. the water nipple next to the plastic valve is the hot coolant outlet to the heater core water inlet nipple on the firewall(usually the outside one but not always) and if your orig stat housing has the bolt spacing too wide for your new intake you need a magnum tstat housing and thermostat. I have a good used one(housing) you can have just cover the shipping.

Ok so if I am reading this correctly you are saying that the things circled in green are not used? What about the things circled in red?
PS: check your pm box

Assume you realize there will be a considerable port mismatch if you are using the stock 318 heads.

green not used,(1)red is used(the nipple) & as Stumpy said get a new MP nipple(has the lip on the end) or get a nipple(3/8 npt I believe)at your hardware store & cut it slightly longer than the orig nipple so you can use 2 hose clamps(works for me). Got your PM & I will go grab my housing later today & send a pic & I'd measure the C to C of your tstat housing bolt holes in your new intake.

I am using the stock heads. From what I understand an M1 dual plane intake fits fine on a 318. Or am I wrong?
