In my experience ... no-need to buy a whole kit. Just select parts.

AND a set of brass floats.

normally just O rings and bottom gasket . Upper gasket could it be too.

Brass floats if you have the phenolic ones ( what by the number mostly sure it is )

IF you just lightly tap the top and base with a small plastic hammer(after pulling all the screws out) .. both the top and bottom gaskets are normally A-OK.

definitelly!!!

and then you can sink it on some light oil to get them better and reuse it!!! Some of the oil will be absorved and gasket will fit tight again!

Being outside USA I have made it LOT of times

another part that could need replacement is the acelerator pump stroke

The acc pump ? ..... I can not remember the last time I had to replace one.

Like you have realized ... it is only a very few select parts that need to be replaced .... those primary O-rings and floats.

And I am working on a BULK purchase of those .

yeah, well if they were replaced some day in the past for the leather ones, they could need replacement... or if carb has been dry from looong time.

I recently discovered we would need wider pump stroke seals or diaphragms. Due the friction, cilinders began to be worn and loose pressure when stroking

I already found the replacement for O rings, on an HIDRAULIC TOOLS parts store.

I'll take it apart and see what kind of shape everything is in. It has been sitting for a couple of years now and had to be primed to get it to start.
I always figure buying individual parts usually adds up to the price of a kit.

I found them same size than originals, square profile, not round like any regular O ring. I think I can get you the PN around, and maybe is an Universal PN... is a little bit more "rubber" or spongie feeling, than the hard rubber of original O rings, so they could be more reusable than original ones than once squeezed, they don't seal back anymore like the first time.

Sounds good Nacho .... you would be helping A LOT of guys out. There are some people in the TQ-World that are charging AS MUCH as 5$ for a pair of those !!

Have you put a set of caliphers on each O-ring? .. how do they compare exactly ?

FWIW - if your carb still has its number-tag, a rebuild kit is easy to source. He might even ship overseas, maybe you need to pay in US$?

Larry Isgro Carburetors

I've been using him for years, average kit plus shipping is around $35-40 and he's always been right on the money.

yes mine on car is a 6322... I have had about 7 used TQ carbs where I have removed usefull parts like links, bowls bodies, metering rods, floats, needles and seats, etc... any part reuseable. At the end I have keeped about 4 ( plus the one on my car ) what 3 are small bore size in primaries and one big bore size as far I remember. I have been able to drive the parts to get a decent working carb. Have repaired 3 of them on leaks. Of course no one of the repairs has been a PRO repair, just an amateur fix and try. I think beside the one on my car what is decent but still I think can get it better, no one is still in PERFECT working conditions, but will keep trying.

I have collected about 4 rebuilt kits from diff setups ( 1 Napa/Echlin, 3 Hygrade ), some of those won't work, some yes, mostly has been uncomplete. Of course On all these years my stock has been reducing, so I keep the parts were mounted just in case.

There is a guy selling the right kit to my 6322 carb right now down here ( higrade 657C ) but he wants an eye for it. Fortunatelly nobody wants those carbs or are able to "fix them" ( thats why I have end "learning" about ) so at the end everything falls in my hands somehow.

Demomsizzler has been helpfull too quite often when I have asked something about.

I forgott to check the invoice I have for the O rings I got, but will make and will try to take a pic.

I have not measured them with a caliper, but they are allmost the same when making a visible comparision...
