Considering dropping a 02 1500 2wd. Seems I remember something about using 3500 control arms to get the drop. Did I dream this?

The bigger question is why is everyone so hung up on lowering their vehicles these last several years?
On some "a little" won't hurt... Some. But not all. On many trucks an otherwise beautiful truck is quickly ruined because someone decided they had to lower the thing. As a former alignment guy I detested lowered vehicles when I made my living that way.
I lower mine when it gets used as a truck then it's back to normal once unloaded.

There was a fairly lengthy thread here several years ago, but I can't seem to find it. rant

I thought the lowering the truck with the 3500 lower control arms was a per 94 thing? shruggy I really have not kept up on the modern Dodge trucks.

A guy wouldn't need to lower this new stuff if it wasn't built so high off the ground. I remember a time when you didn't need a running board to climb on so you could get into your truck.

haha I can't imagine how many hack jobs you've seen. I've seen plenty walking around shows. eek
But seriously I thought a well engineered kit took the headache out of this. Maybe the OP should look into it. scope

What i don't get is why someone buys a 4X4 and wants to drop it. Or they have a 4X2 and want to raise it. confused I think drop spindles would work better, It keeps the front end geometry where it needs to be. I don't think you want to look like the ricers with the wheels at 80 degrees. tsk
