If that can be proven and it runs & drives well, that's cheap, even though the cosmetics are beat up.

VIN checks out to be a 440. To me, based on the rust, it looks like it's spent a lot of time sitting.

I'll post up some pics of my '96 F150 that spent the last 16 years as a plow truck if you want to understand what rust looks like. This one does not have 'rust'...trust me

I was referring to the surface rust on the underside.

As oldjohnny and I are from the upper Midwest... surface rust ( looks light to me)..
is far far better, than say, scaly rust, or worse, holes in the frame or body. That's the norm in these parts.

Location, location, location is paramount
