I like this a lot! I can't say I've even seen a short bed 400 truck, and I saw a lot of 400 trucks back about '90 when I was collecting parts to do a 440 swap in a Club Cab I had back then. If condition checks out, what would be a fair price? $15K?

This is dumb:
"The Dodge has an excellent body and still has a lot of it’s original “patina” paint. The maroon paint is 90% original as well as the engine bay paint, door jams and interior paint is all factory. The silver paint I just finished this fall and is base/clear PPG paint."
It's a cool truck for sure, but missing cruise, ac inop...$15k is all the money, I think. For his ask, he should've painted at least the exterior portion of the maroon and gotten the AC working. Not sure how hard it is to find the cruise servo, cables, etc.
Earning every penny of that moderator paycheck.

What more could us old guys ask for?! How about everything works, no roof lights, no bumper guards, throw those ugly mirrors in the garbage and put proper wheels on it? For 21 grand you shouldn't have to fill holes in the roof and doors, fix "patina", and re-paint to make this pass for a cool ride. Guy is pretty proud of his screw driver restoration, spray-bombed frame, and box-liner. $6000.00 tops.

Unfortunately, that’s not an unreasonable ask in today’s environment. I don’t know that he should be turning down a 15k offer. He definitely needed to get cruise and ac working to swing for the fences. It’s just such a weird time where anything with passable paint is huge money, while at the same time certain cars are not selling. I’m strangely not sitting here trying to finagle a way to park this one at my place. Indifferent about it and I usually drool over a 77-78 truck and might offer a limb for a big block SE most times. It’s kinda cool, yet unimpressive. Super bummer about the bed liner, that’s about the worst thing you can do to a classic truck and here he’s bragging about it just being done. Cue the price is right fail music.
That painted battery cable is scary. Doesn’t portend good things about rest of truck.
I want my fair share

I see you are the purveyor of Palominos. Had a short box of that WAY, WAY back in the day. Was a SUPER clean truck. I sold it to a buddy of mine who put a 440 in it and painted it Viper Red. (I sort of liked the Palomino colors for some odd reason)

The a/c should have been fixed, and working cruise control should be in place, if he wants top $$. Mirrors are not a deal breaker either. It's kinda hard to find an original big block good presentable " driver quality, cruiser" condition Dodge truck these days. And speaking of truck... it's just that, not a 440+6 'Cuda!
