Talked to Firecore Rick this past weekend and the heads up race is done they are going to do a Q16 door car and Q16 dragster instead

Probably a better choice in format - Should make it more interesting

Really need an Outlaw class, run what you bring. MoPar power, had dragsters, pro mods, altered, and junk like mine. loved the class at dragway 42.

I am finally planning on coming to this deal....MIssed the old Mopar deal at Norwalk but planning on making this one..

Are they perhaps planning a Stock/Super Stock combo race? Don’t see one on the flyer but imagine it would draw a lot of cars, including mine.

Probably not. Usually get a couple NHRA legal cars running the Hemi SS class. Ohio Valley Dragway has a National Open that weekend also.

We are strongly considering this trek…… mainly to bump out Al from the furthest traveled by 50-60 miles

It's always a great time. Been doing the Norwalk events for years. It's one weekend we don't miss.

First round buy backs for '68 Valiants only! I assume this is 1/8 mile elims? What type of tree?

We plan to make the race this year. I think my son and I will be running Modern hemi class.

Have not made this race the past couple years due to being the same weekend as the Dave Duell Classic.

This is a dial in format, 1/8 mile race. The heads up was a flop, last year there was 2 door cars and 3 dragsters.

for some reason they dont like Heads Up racing at this event anymore

Were there even 16 dragsters on the ground last year? Is it possible to make the class an offshoot of Super Pro/Top and just pull the 16 quickest of each out of that class for the Q16? It might help with filling the field.

I think the heads up thing deal is lack of cars. Most I have seen anywhere in recent years was last year at the drsgway 42. Think there were like 7, maybe 8 on the property, and 3 or 4 when elims started.

AGREED, the best field all last year was at MIR, i think 14? but by the time for elims i think it was 12 or 10.

BUT heads up is exciting, and from the looks of it, they having a hard time getting a Q16 for this event.....??? I know its not going to happen, just poking the bear so to speak
