Our friendship started here back then, and in 2005 Wes flew me out from Minneapolis to Phoenix and put me in the drivers seat! How may guys do that? Thankyou Wes for that great time and memory! I went 8.71 if I recall, no nitrous,540 b1 motor in his 73 Dart. A memory that is extra special . Fast forward to yesterday and i an in Arizona, and invited go with Wes to Firebird raceway . Wes entered in Small tire. The Fox body mustang built for drag and drive performed perfectly . Wes Won! Thats me, the older guy with gray hair! It’s always a pleasure to hang out when you visit Arizona. You’re always welcome to drive any of my cars man! Here is a pic from that day! Lashing valves and checking plugs on the old ‘72 Dart with my buddy Monty Mikho (Yellowbullet). We all had a blast that day; sure wish some of the guys in attendance that day were still with us. Thank you for all your help, knowledge and friendship. Car was working good, and there’s definitely more room for improvement in it. It was also great to have my son there helping; I can’t wait until he’s making passes in his little coupe. Will have it running this year. Couple more pics. I ran the “UNLAWFL” plate on my HellCat in memory of Gary. We talked a little bit and was planning to meet for the first time when I was traveling to MI for the B1 dyno session, but unfortunately Gary was killed. But I did get to meet Chuck, Bubba, STEFF, and both Jack Irons Sr. & Jr. for breakfast to hear some stories about Gary. Transferred the LE support plate over to the Stang still honoring him. Sucks I never got to meet him. Again, we had a blast yesterday, and more memories brother! We’ll see you and Deb soon for dinner! "If you can still hear your fears - shift a gear."
