I need a engine storage stand for a 426 Hemi motor to use to take them to engine dyno for testing, who do you guys use and like as well as which ones to not buy

I have always just fabricated my own. I also make them so the fold flat when not in use. Takes up less space to store them.

I had some roll bar that I cut out of a car and I just hung the engine on my cherry picker and fab’d and welded up in about an hour, long bolts through the motor mounts and bell housing, tough as a tank.

Would be cool to see some of these said home fab cradles

One of the Tillburg boys makes and sells them. Really nice pieces! I bought one at the US Nats.

Powder coated, folds flat and has heavy casters on it.

Same here, I use thin wall square tube. I use them for bare blocks most of the time. If it was a fully built i would use heavier material. Weld up a rectangular frame and install caster wheels. Hang the block on a cherry picker then fab the mounts for the motor. Tack it in place then weld it up. Easy peasy!

I've made cradles using 2x8 wood that fit the perimeter of the oil pan (pan rail) - ft & rear being wider, like outriggers.
The 8" kept even bigger oil pans off the ground.
Either some good large-ish casters, or a good mover's dolly, makes them portable.

The flimsy ones for SB Chevys don't fit SB Mopars all that well, but can serve in a pinch.

I just used an extra engine stand and shortened it. Added large casters and turnbuckles to support the front. And the handle is off a reel mower I used it to transfer my engines to the garage. Not building anything without heat.

I also make my own out of square tuning.

I made mine out of 1" angle iron that I had laying around. Mine is extra tall to accommodate my Milodon SS oil pan. It bolts to bell housing holes and motor mounts in front. I just got a store bought one, but I haven't used it yet. It is made by All Star performance #10156.

I seen a nice one that AndyF made. I've used it a few times to transport engines I have built. I don't know if he builds them for anyone else because this one was shipped with an engine my friend bought from him.

I've made dollies for lots of Mopar engines. I used to sell them but got tired of people always bitching about how much they cost so I stopped making them. These days I just build dollies when I need them. I have the CAD files for most muscle car ear engines including Chevy, Ford, Mopar, BOP, etc.

EXACTLY! I used to build them as well.

But summit has this one with free shipping. my response--- why are you bothering me wanting $40-50 off a $65 part to get it delivered for the same price as the summit one.. By the time the materials and all got into the mix and the price that they wanted it, It would have been about $1/hour or less on labor. Sorry, maybe a chinese kid might work for that, I had other stuff to do that pays a lot more than that back then. LOL

Andy's design looks strong.
I've used the Jeg's style before, and they're not what I'd call strong, but adequate.
Cheap enough though, that adding some gussets & wheels would be fairly easy & inexpensive.

Stock and after market 426 Hemi and KB wedge blocks don't have the mounting ears cast on the block ,
The hemi motor mounts bolt onto the side of the block directly above the oil pan rails with three 7/16 studs or bolts on each side. Hence the issue on the dolly's needing to be for the hemi blocks

I have had two AllStar cradles from Summit for my small blocks and they work well , they fit pretty well on a Harbor Freight furniture dolly to move the motors around.

I have several Allstars for the wedge and LA motors, they don't make one for the gen 2 hemi blocks
I have one from Tim at FHO on order but it may be as late as May or early June before I get it and I need one now to haul this motor for dyno testing sooner than that this spring
The external oil system and the kick out on the oil pan make it difficult to find one that will work on this engine
