"gransmas in the 70's"? Guess i am old. Short skirts and big hair! And old cars also. Don't forget about the music and on and on... If you look at the responses on Facebook these days about girls sitting on car most of the are complaining about them sitting on the cars with attitudes of "How dare her sit on that car".
Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

This was around 1978. What great times. Always jamming to BOC.- we still love their music - so do my daughters.

I just watched it again. Life was every bit as good & fun as it seemed in the pics. So again I ask - what happened? WHY did we ruin such a good thing?

I worked way to hard for what I had.

That's one of the factors - I agree.

In general terms, people were slimmer then and obesity was uncommon. Likely because folks were more active and ate real food, instead of the processed crap. Manual labor was more common, too - people weren't sitting in front of computers all day. Tattoos were things you'd see on Veterans, more so if they were Navy or fought overseas - and they might have one or two. Facial hair came into vogue for the most part in the '70s - wasn't all that common beforehand. The "surfer chicks" and "hippie chicks" we had around SoCal in that era were pretty cute - the teased hair was more of an East Coast thing. Bear in mind I was a middle-class suburban white kid in that era. So going to the races, the beach, concerts, movies, playing poker with the "cool Dad" across the street, and cruising (all night for $5.00) were our pastimes. But for me, from the mid-'50s through early '70s was a great era. I also had a great time during the '80s through early aughts, but there was a tinge to the general atmosphere. When the heavier drugs moved in, that put borders on the general care-free vibe. A lot changes for us when we become responsible adults with bills & real worries, right ?

If you look at the responses on Facebook
There is the problem!!! They shut down Napster but the social media sites multiply. Not on any social media site, Nor will i visit any! Wish they would shut them ALL down! Don't see what's the attraction? Now kids call names and threaten people there instead of face to face. Then they wonder why the cops are knocking on their door. They have no clue what it was like before the internet/smart phones. Take a phone away from a kid today and they think the world is going to come to an end!
