First generation Comp Magnum BB rockers - no bushings - no roller bearing in tip, just a pin w/ a roller - issues I recall people having were them galling the shafts with maybe 400+ PSI open spring loads - additional grooves for the shafts is a good idea - IIRC, some people had the fulcrums honed to add a bit of clearance, too
I don't know if Comp upgraded the shafts when they revised them for bronze bushings later on.

They are steel and not bushed. Steel on steel is just asking for trouble. The old Isky and Crane "nodular iron" are about as risky as I'd ever get. I think if you're determined to use them I'd want good oiling AND definately a "hard chromed" shaft.
