Mopars didn't use aluminum for either, but race car aprons for a tube-chassis car would be a fabrication job. If the aprons were cut away, bolt-on aluminum ones would also be a fabricated deal. Some chassis companies may have a universal apron available.

Meanwhile, the six bumper bars together weigh a tad over 20 lbs, not counting any fasteners. Just sayin'. If you don't see two dolphins, you need a vacation.
