The Sir Arthur Conan Dyle version with Peter Cushing.Seams live different lighting staging etc..Great acting!

As odd as it seems, check out Menard's. This time of year they usually have cheap DVD collections out for Christmas. I got a buddy a multi disc set of "100 Worst Sci -Fi Movies" for about $25 a couple years ago.

Saw the WoTW when I was about 5. It terrified me.
The only part I really liked about the Tom Cruise remake was the machines were more true to the book.
I read the book a few times in school.
