68Bullit OP mopar Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 571 Western NC	I want to purchase a book so I can learn more about the TQ, and be able to do my own work, etc. Any recommendations on the best repair book with good illustrations, diagrams, etc??? I believe my carb is a 71 model, however I'm not sure. How do I I.D. the carb I have? Thanks

Carb ID ? ... on the lower throttle-valve plate ... drivers rear ear .. there are #'s stamped there. Give me that # ...I can get that application for you. If you need the air-valve tool to properly adjust that critical aspect of that carb .. drop me a PM.

After that answers some of your questions, a factory service manual should get you the rest of the way, so long as you get the manual for your year of carb.

I did see somone selling a 440 truck carb last week here in the for sale adds. Maybe in the SB section. There was a Carter carb reference book by Dave Emmanuel in the 90's that hide quite a good TQ section as well with lots of pix and tips. The Vaanth guide is also a great reference.
