I have a 6.4 BGE that don't say BGE from a 2014 that has really nice cylinder and main bores but the main caps were missing, I wonder if I need it line bored or if a line hone would work to fit some 5.7 caps... with some good used bearings and a like new crank spins freely in there, I don't have precise enough measuring tools anymore to measure the main bores accurately but they seem to be waaaay closer match than old LA or BB engines that we had to have line bored... would it likely be fine with a line hone or would it still need line bored?

you can use those 5.7 caps, a line hone and you'll be fine.
