Guys,

I'm thinking about a vinyl top for a Coronet 500 that I'm resurrecting. Not surprisingly, I can't find a vendor for a Coronet but I have found tops available for a '65 Polara. Does the '65 Polara 2 door hardtop have the same roof as the '65 Coronet 2 door hardtop?

Thanks

The Coronet is a B-body and the Polara is a C-body. The roofs are different. A '64 Plymouth roof, on the other hand, should be the same as your Coronet.

If nobody makes a top you can buy the raw fabric and have an upholstery shop sew one up. They would need the dimensions, or even better a full scale paper pattern to lay over the material.

I'll give you a shout Dante.

The roofs look similar from the pictures that I see, I honestly wouldn't be surprised to find out that they are indeed the same roof with the Polara having some more length to the front and rear clips.
I'd have to run a tape across them to be sure.

Thanks

Similar design, owing mostly to the tapered C-pillars, but:
Polara (and other '65-'66 C-bodies) have a transverse outward crease near their C-pillars that the B-body HTs don't have.
That pillar is also wider/longer (front to rear) than the B's.
I'd bet their roof is wider as well.
