yeah, they are a bit heavy but really build speed on the other end. very stable at high speeds. you can tuck a large tire under the factory tub. real easy to get to hook up. i ran a few years in mine with a basic 318 and a 150 shot of nos with full interior trim and all steel, 904 trans.,leafs,3.91 8 3/4. it ran 11.60's all day long. now i run it with a big block and nos but with the same weight{actually a bit heavier) and runs low 9's. love that body style.
Yep with the nascar design rear fenders flare out rear tub is about 15 inch so cutting the wheel lip and right back space you can get a 14x32 in there it will be tight tho. And becuz the car being just a bit wider like 66-70 b-body rear ends just bolt right in

Anybody can make a light car go fast , It`s the challenge of a heavy car that is the fun part that and a slight prejudice for 71`s on my end

I've joked around with my Dad many times about selling my Dart Sport and dumping all the money into his 71 B5 Roadrunner, it would be a neat project since it is completely torn apart right now. I think it will happen someday.
