I went to buy my buddy's car but I don't want to screw him on the price. He is a good friend.
It's a 1971 Challenger Convertible 383 4spd with an N96 Shaker. Currently has the factory engine with a 727 in the drive line. Red body, black top, black interior. Original 833 and crankshaft in the garage.
What is a FMV price for a ride that's been unmolested... But has been repainted...
It's a 6/10 in overall condition

Sounds like a worn, but nice driver. I’ll venture a guess of around 60-65k. Maybe 70k? I don’t see enough verts to say if there’s a gap to the 70 models. I occasionally see a 383 auto driver for around 50k.
I used to think the 70 and 71 cars were equivalent. A couple years ago I saw a price guide and the 71s had a noticeably lower number. I started paying closer attention to ads and I did see the difference. With the hardtops anyway, verts as I said are so scarce.
I want my fair share

Factory 383 4spd Convertible N96
A US serviceman had brought it to Greece and my friend's father purchased it in 1988 when the servicemember didn't want to lug her back home
