Its still Stellantis. Will have to see how this turns out. Right now, its questionable whether or not they can keep the brand going even.

LOL. And just like that, GM rolls out 5 "New" models and NONE of them are EV's. I wonder if last week has something to do with it? (said nobody ever). And look...the Camaro is suddenly NOT dead https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PiH82yfZiGA

July 19th should be "Drive Like Rockford Day". R.I.P. Jimmie.

My local dealers are dying. They have nothing to sell that anyone wants to buy. The new Ram 1500 and the six cylinder is NOT selling. The only way to get a V-8 is to jump up to the 2500...but they raised the price so much on those that everyone is thumbing their noses at them. The Jeep is being pushed with the Turbo-4....that very few actually want to own. The Whorenut, well, that one stands on its own as being something nobody wants. Stellantis screwed the proverbial pooch.

And the video even showed some pick-up trucks that don't have a back seat or four doors. What a concept! Now if only the manufactures of "cars" would get it! WOW, They they used to have two doors? It's no wonder there is nothing to buy. And what it's powered by is another issue. The auto industry, !

Stellantis screwed the proverbial pooch. I took my 2017 6.4 2500 in the other day for service. TWENTY NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS to replace heater core (bout wanted to throw up). Basically said they were replacing the whole box cause I told them the doors dont go fully to heat or defrost. ANYWAY, there was a Whorenut there for service (I dont know, I should have asked). It was actually kind sporty looking. Dark metallic gray witha dark red leather interior. Was so cute Replacing the HVAC box on Rams is definitely a pain. It's literally the second thing that gets attached to the firewall when the painted cab comes down from the Paint department and into the Trim department. The first thing attached is the firewall insulation pad. The dash has to be pulled to replace it, and obviously all the connection on the engine side of the firewall. I think book time is about 8-10 hours. In the plant there was a 9190 Trim repairman that could swap them out in less than 2 hours. He had it down to a science, he'd done so many of them. With dealer labor rates what they are these days and guessing that the complete HVAC box is probably an easy $1000 a quote of $2900 doesn't surprise me. Odds are that the plastic blend doors are about to crap out anyway, the plastic gets brittle and breaks. As an engineer in the plant told me "As long as it makes it out of warranty, we just don't care". Those are his exact words.
Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

As an engineer in the plant told me "As long as it makes it out of warranty, we just don't care". Those are his exact words. I used to work for a company that built the test equipment for checking out the assemblies. Mahle is the company that builds many of these airbox assemblies for many different manufacturers. Not sure if they do the Ram one or not. They are EXTREMELY (over) complicated units. They have individual CANbus controlled stepper motors that run individual actuators for each of the zones of control. As I recall, the most complicated one we had tested has like 18 individual stepper modules. Virtually none of them are accessible from external and all of them are really cheapo plastic junk with overly complicated mechatronics and levers to make things work. All of this comes from the market wanting all of the whistles and bells. Me personally, I would take the old days of three knobs and a mechanical linkage that can be manually bypassed. We joked at work about the long term life expectancy of these things as long term, these vehicles will NEVER go to a collectability status since there will be no way to 'restore' this stuff. My Hellcats will probably only be kept until their warranties are up as I certainly don't want to pay to keep all of the 'features' working post warranty.
