As some of you know I sold my 02 about 10 years ago to get a suitable daily driver (see trailer contents) and prepare to buy my Hellcat. Always kinda regretted it and changing tires at the track is ok but don't want to do it all the time. Been combing marketplace for 2 years to find something just as nice, similar mileage, and wasn't 8 hours (or more) away. Well I found it at a small time used car lot near Pittsburgh. Rust free, 54k miles. Initially I didn't have time to look at it but a couple weeks or so later had a day off so made a call and told the salesman I was coming to look and I'm 2 hours away. Decided to tow my trailer and bring a check if it was everything he said. Got there, looked it over, took a lengthy test drive, then negotiated a deal. Put a ball mount on it, loaded up my trailer and headed home. I was on pins and needles the whole way back but I had no issues.
It's a V-10 auto like my old one but 2wd. This one is a sport my other was an ST base.

This is the only pic I have on my phone of black Bertha. This was taken about 6 years ago outside a shop north of Butler. I stopped and asked the shop owner about it and it sounds like the same guy owns it. I've not seen her since.

The V-1 OH! Hopefully it has the aluminum t stat housing and the cooling system services were done! Great tow rigs…. So quiet and smooth, just thirsty. Good plug wires and proper routing were a must also. Can’t remember what piston would get hammered when crossfire arcing took place. Dash good?

Looks good. I think it has a cover over it. Did a good job if it is.

You're missing out on all the fun of $6000 worth of TFT displays going dead and a TIPM module shutting everything else down.

Nice Second Gen, and even better choice on the 2wd. up

Nice rig. I have owned my 96 Ram V10 for over 26 years and 170,000+ miles it has been an awesome truck still 95% original. Only have changed brakes, tires, batteries and rebuilt steering components. As mentioned they are thirsty. I have never owned many vehicles that got decent mileage so I never cared. However, 3 years ago decided to buy a newer truck. I bought a 2005.5 H.O. CTD. Out pulls my V10 for sure and daily mileage is better than double of my V10.

like our 17 3500…. 5700 miles per year avg. so bad I have a battery tender on it laugh2 sensible me should have kept the 01. But after 18 years it was time for a change…. and we’re toy hauler shopping now so it may get put to use a little more. I will say that it’s way more comfortable to tow with than the 01. Even my wife will pull the race trailer with it. A friend of mine does deletes so I have about $6k of sensors parts for 17s in boxes laugh2
