hi guys, I’ve heard a lot of talk about these cranks. How much power can they handle? How much RPM are you pushing them to? I’m planning on a 3.79 2.100 rod 6 inch Carrillo H beam rods 4.185 bore. 9” deck. i got 1.7 1.75 rockers Old craftsman w8s Bullet cam yet to made So I have no idea how much it will spin to or power.
crank ,pistons and cam parts i need I have no idea about compression yet. i’m thinking 12.1 to 13

Maybe he went this direction? I have both heights of the A8, think is the tall version

12-13:1 with a W8? should add about 2 points to that....
I haven't used the small block s but the Molnar crank in my BB has survived years of beating at 850 hp.

I spin my 4.50" stroke Molnar BB crank to 7100 every pass with 4.530" pistons hanging off them. Makes enough power to dip into the 8s@3450lbs. Tom builds nice parts. Every spec was .0000 to spec. Rods are nice as well. Doug

At the end of the day, Molnar, Scat, Eagle etc are Chinese forgings machined here. All good stuff that can take a lot of abuse. Molnar stuff, in particular, seems to have a very good reputation.

Not quite what you're looking for, but we have a 4.25 stroke BB crank. We were one of the first ones to buy Molnar back in 2016. We also have his 7.1" rods.
We are pushing a heavy car down the track and the numbers show well over 800 crank HP. Zero issues.
Tom is a great guy. Yes, he actually answered the phone when I had questions about rod side clearances!
He worked at Oliver, owned and then sold K1 and started Molnar. His stuff is NOT the same as anyone else's. Some buy the same cheap rods and put their name on them but his stuff is completely different.
I am the poster child for abusing parts. Lots of dragstrip passes, street miles and nitrous. I would always recommend Molnar.
'63 Dodge 330

9.92 @ 135mph with a 350 shot of nitrous and 93 octane pump. 1.43 60 ft. 3,750 lbs.
