The Molnar .990/2.200/7.100 is a very nice rod for the money. They weigh 838 grams. I run them in my wedge race motor. 4.500” stroke regularly to 7100-7200. ARP 2000 bolts are standard. Doug

I wouldn't be scared to run any of those brands, but I'd probably go w/ Molnar if I had the choice.

I figured your 4.150 stroke pistons would be for 7.1" rods with .990 pins. Pistons were made for a 426 Super Stock engine (stock sizes in1997) with 10.44 deck. So with the 4.150 crank they will still be down in hole .090 (block is cut .060 now) cutting compression some. $250 is better than $2200 for new pistons don’t ya think? The stock rods I have are new so maybe ill put them up for sale to offset the cost or use them in the other block I have to sell.

I bought 6.86-1.030 dimension Scat rods, I believe they have the standard ARP bolts same as linked to above, for a standard stroke, nearly stock 426ci 'drive it anywhere, anytime' type of future project currently stuck in the planning/collecting stages. That engine would be fine with stock rods, but I don't have any. Must have been 14 years ago and they were only $350 as an open box item. They still seem to be a good value in the link. I bought Molnar 2.200-7.100 for my 572. (Not helpful: The 572 has ran a total of about 15 minutes on the garage floor and has seen nearly 4000 rpm a few times, and the connecting rods performed flawlessly ) Campbell Enterprises is advertising Molnar for $666 right now. Not positive but I think that might be the best price. I have purchased cranks and rods from Campbell before, they were good. The Molnar are a nicer product and I feel they are worth more than the $83 per rod that they currently cost. The Scat in the above link are priced right and are also a very good value. Don't know about K1, I have used one of their crankshafts but not their rods.

My personal stuff has scat 8740's. Most I ever turned was 7400-7500 (5.13's) in a wedge application. I always considered them a step up into the good stuff and have never broken a rod. But I come from a time when bushed re bolted LY's were the hot ticket.

I’m looking at the h beam rod for my Hemi, Scat, K1 or Molinar. Close in price $650 to $750. Just a street engine and I don’t want the stock rod (heavy, 1050 vs 850 grams). Ross pistons and 4.150 crank. Opinions? I run K1 rods in my Hemis and they have been great so far and measured well out of the box. I don't think K1 makes gen 2 hemi rods anymore. They make stroker cranks for the hemi, but I think they stopped making rods for the gen 2 hemi a while ago. You may want to consider Eagle rods as well in that price range. They're comparable to Scat stuff.
