I made my own at work. I have it laying around here somewhere. BHJ is a good place to purchase one.

MRE AR133. Andy has these motor plates for BB/Hemi. Pretty nice. That's an engine mounting plate. This thread is about torque plates used when boring and honing the block. Looks like this..

Has anyone made a torque plate out of an old cast iron cylinder head? Not enough material after boring? It's been tried. I saw one almost 50 years ago. I doubt if it was any more effective than a stack of flat washers. Which might actually be better than nothing.

Speedway motors sells one for $359. That's a nice price. But it looks like you'd have to get some long bolts/s studs for the valley studs because it looks like the hole is drilled all the way through. But the picture could be wrong too.
