i am not sure the temps are high enough to be concerned with in any normal racing operation, unless one sees total engine failure, and then paint is the last of one's concerns.
I have used brushed Imron Urethane with good results in the past.

Either Glyptal or Rustoleum Red Primer - since the "70s, even street motors. Surface cleanliness matters, of course, but never had to go nuts - just de-grease & hot water wash. Never had a flake come off. I bought a can of that but it says max temp 200 degrees. I doubt this engine would ever see that temp. but was wondering what else is out there. I’m guessing the safety factor is much higher than 200 though. This block was in Evaporust on and off over a two week period between brushing. Then went through the Jet-Wash.
