are they hard to find?? just asking as I would live to put a rally dash in my 72 demon. I just really like the look of them, especially with modern gages hidden behind the bezel.

Thank you

The 70-71 style only come in 70 340 Swingers, and 71 340 Demons, and 70-71 340 Dusters. There might be a slight difference between 70 and 71 due to radio mounting, so double check if that's important to you. So these ralley dashes would only come from a parted 340 cars. So yes, they are hard to come by.

The 67-69 Barracuda Rallye dashes are quite different, mostly because the ignition key is on the dash. Also the 68's have a different one year only: ashtray and lower dash pad mounting provisions.

1970 used a thumbwheel style radio, and 1971 had round knobs for the radio controls. Metal dash frame opening for the radio might be the same for 70-71, but the plastic bezels won't be.

will a 1967-69 barracuda dash fit 1970+ a-body for the rally dash frame conversion?

Dash will bolt in no problem, but there are differences in the details. From memory things like the Barracuda dashes are done up in silver and camera grain for finishes, and the 70 and up are black and simulated wood grain. Also the Barracuda has the flasher switch (?) hole on the left hand side that the 70 and up ones don't have because it got moved to the column. Also think the fan high/low switch width is different as well? There are also AC and non-AC versions of both styles to be aware of too.

If you have just the metal frame out of a 68-69 Barracuda you should be able to install the 70 and up plastic parts into it and make it all work.

i am going to start looking for a rally dash frame. its not a rush but I would like to add this to upgrades to how I want the car to be. it's a 72 demon and I have the old looking traditional dash and the rally just speaks to me. if I have a hard time getting one or it's just not reachable, I will resort to plan B and install a Dakota digital or a Holley digital dash.

and by the way I am in process of a 6.4 hemi swap, I have to have this done before Detroit Autorama or I am cooked. I don't know if it's a must have before the autorama but would be very nice.

Comon sense is telling me to go with the Holly dash because i am using the terminator X max.

thanks for all the support.

Thank you

70+ cars have key on ignition. The 67-69 bare frame has part of the structure set up for ignition.

68 frames have quite a few indentations with holes to accept the 68 only lower dash pad. Do a search for 68 frame and you’ll see the difference.
