I have a 67 Belvedere 2 and got new door panels, car had none when I got it. The panels don't come with anything, just the panel. Are the chrome strips, upper and lower available? Or swap meet stuff?

The retainer moldings are only at the top - the rest of the trim panel is retained by clips.
For the clips, I prefer the barbed ones over the wire style.
I'm not aware of anyone reproducing the moldings, and '68-'70 may also work on the '66-'67.
Should be some out there somewhere, and Dodge are same as Plymouth - basically any B body 2-door, a far as I can tell.

66-67 has moldings both upper and lower .

Ive had the panels off my car once and I think they clip over the door panels themselves, 68 -70 just has uppers that are screwed to the door then panels slip under them

To be clear, the top molding 66 and 67 are different. 66 have clips and 67 are screwed. I could never make 67 work on a 66 but you can drill holes in a 67 to make 66 work.

I've never seen a '67 Belvedere II with lower door card moldings and I've owned a bunch of them. Here is just one example.

Looks like 67 GTX has both upper and lower

So maybe its a trim level thing.
My 66 Satellite has both upper and lower

So since both of my doors have lage clip holes across the top ..I'll need 1966 moldings? Someone must have put 66 doors on this car over the years?

For the ones with the clip holes along the top, anyone have a pic of what I 'm looking for, and maybe how they attach?

Get the '67 ones and redrill the holes in the molding and the door and use the proper screws.

Yup. Years ago insurance bought me a door and they sent a 66. Never was able to properly install the 67 molding.

You probably never tried it. The holes are countersunk. Was never able to make it work.

So 66 versus 67 doors. You can see how the 67 are done. Can you countersink your molding and use tiny screws to get the 67 molding on a 66, yes but would not be right. I did do it on the race car since I had no real choice at that time. Would not do it today. Today I have aluminum panels on the race car.

If I absolutely had to use 66 doors with 67 molding and the car was getting painted, I would make the countersink parts (not hard for me to do) and then weld them in the 66 door.

These are Coronet doors. Pretty sure the Plymouths use the same door.

Yep my doors are like the top one. I am assuming I am looking for a one year only chrome strip now correct? I still don't get what holds the 66 chrome on nice and tight and what type of clip is it?

For full disclosure, this is what have learned on my own. The parts book for 67 shows 2 moldings - think it was rounded or convex. I assume both mount the same. On my current 67 Coronet 500 the molding looks half round. I have not looked at the mounting.

And all I know is that all my 67 doors that I have looked at have the screws holes and my 66 doors had the holes for clips. Been a very long time since I had my 66, but it clips that snapped into the holes.
