I see in that pic a partial semi tanker, which was maybe part of the cause of the inferno, or just really bad coincidence being onsite?
Years back we had a fuel tanker have the rear few feet sliced off by a train, the fuel spilled out and ignited so fast the cars sitting at the crossing waiting had all their occupants immolated.
Maybe mandating after dark fuel deliveries would reduce the risks?

The power pole just behind the tanker looks like it has suffered a lot of heat, ie, its smoking, and looks rather odd as a cable hanging from it is glowing and laying? on top of the partially consumed tanker?

The three electric conductors are in place, the burning lines look like tel/com lines.
The fuel island has no vehicles save for the fueler may be a blessing. The semi cab is a skelton, the pickup burned and between, the roofine of another burnt out car?
Another updated article said 2 employees of the (logging season only store) perished. Not sure if those were the 2 "injured".
Google street view shows a rather old and disrepair operation there.

I feel for the people who are burnt. I spent 2 months in a burn unit in 1983 due to a gas tank explosion. Don't wish that kind of pain on anyone.

You think maybe the tanker went straight into the building , after exiting the previous curve, and that led to the awning roof collapse and ensuing fire?
That would account for the two reported deaths easily, truck driver and station attendant.
