I know this doesn't really belong here but it is driving me nuts and I need help. Years ago, wall display clocks that showed the entire world with the current location of daylight and night rolling across the display were somewhat popular. I've decided maybe I'd like one but I can't remember what they were called or where to find one. They were wall-mount flat display units and you could see the location of sunrise and sunset on the planet at any time. Help, this driving me crazy. runaway

I know exactly what you’re talking about.

One of our dimly lit corporate boardrooms had one.

Very cool…

Something like this:

Yeah something like that. Don't want to drop $500 on one though.

My grandfather had one - it’s called a Geochron. This is exactly like the one he had, it was pretty thick because of the light inside and the loop mechanism.

Geochron

Geochron. That's the name I've trying to recall. Now to find an affordable one...

After a quick search for "geochrons" if you really want one that $500 one is the second lowest price found. $445 was the other and most range from $445 to $5k - $10k+ and average around $4k-$5k shock

Wow, I wonder if kids that their parents had them back in the day is the reason why some think the world is FLAT? wink grin laugh2

Based on that picture, I'm thinking a smart TV could have a "geochron" app downloaded and the TV's display be used as the face of the geochron.
