I can think of at least 4 of those with rust up to the chrome in the 1/4's that dad ran in demolition derbies in the 70's-80's. All green 4-doors, some with vinyl tops, 318s or 383s. Came up with a 2-door Newport one year, that was a LONG son-of-a-gun.

I like it and think it could be a fun cruise around town car but I agree on price....maybe $2800 ish. Says rust was fixed but I'm skeptical. But it is nice to have an old Mopar cruiser that's no so valuable or mint that you're afraid to drive it.

I had one that WASN'T green.

Mine had a 360 in it (first year). I'm probably the only person to swap a big block INTO a C-body instead of ripping one out.

What killed mine was hidden rust up in the cowl area. These cars had a huge molded plastic piece that covered the cowl instead of individual 'grills' like on a same year B-body, so I totally missed the rust until it was too late. I had noticed the gap changing between the fenders and front doors, but initially thought it was due to the rubber isolators for the body mounts being bad (stub frame).. The top and sides (behind the fenders)of the cowl was swiss cheese.

It was a fun cruise around car, I was always having people tease me about how huge by large it was. I miss it.

I paid less than $1K for mine.........back in '97.

that car reminds me of our "neighborhood loaner" car back in my junkyard ownership days.
that car was a 1970 newyorker, same shade of green, 440 powered.
anyone that needed a car for short term whatever reason, got to run that thing.
oh, the stories that car could tell !
