Hey all. About the first time posting in the resto forum but looks like I need some help here.
Friend of my has bought a 68 Charger and likes to restore it as original as possible. The fender tag contains a bunch of easy codes like power brakes etc. but what I was wondering about the interior... 3rd line reads 50 8 1 C6W PP1 W
I come up with something like Charger trim grade, bucket seats, white and white upper door frame color. Does this sounds correct?
And what all is white then? Vinyl covers, headliner, door panels, carpet, dash frame, upper door panels, kickpanels etc.
Any input appreciated?

Yup, mine had a white headliner, seat covers, hinge covers, door & quarter pads and side panel (aka cards), armrests. Dash, kick panels, carpet, package tray & seat belts were black. Heel pad in photo above is in wrong place, way too far back. Base of gas pedal should be just barely inside forward right corner of heel pad. Kinda tough to cut the hole there, so some guys avoid that.

https://www.hamtramck-historical.com/images/dealerships/colorAndTrim/1968/68_Charger0001.jpgHere is the dealer color chart for 68 Charger. The white in 68 is actually a pearl white. Herb's Parts has a line of interior dye that works good. They have the 68 pearl white if you need to change the color of some things. If changing from black to pearl white, you need to spray the parts white first. Then put the pearl white on top. If you try spraying the pearl white directly over the black, it will turn out silver.
